  • Good web solutions for managing a project group (community)

I'm looking for a good online tool or platform I could use to manage a group of about 75-100 people. Project management "light" meets very basic intranet or community-building functionality. Basic requirements: project participants can share materials (files, links, possibly video) and...

  • Re: Tweaking a NP Facebook Page

Hi Mike-- Took me a bit to get back to you as I've been exploring the maddening problem you have with Question 2 with Facebook trying to add an application to your personal profile vs page. The problem seems to be that the applications are developed by 3rd parties, not Facebook, and therefore, only...

  • Re: Is Facebook Causes a Joke?!?

We assure you Causes is no joke. We have processed over $10 million in donations to nonprofits and we have a dedicated staff in Berkeley, CA and Washington DC working to make this platform happen. Occasionally, our password retrieval email gets caught in spam filters so if you have problems signing in...

  • Re: Creating Nonprofit Facebook Page

On the last two posts, I have some thoughts. Re: cybercafe: As we start our Facebook presence, I've noticed that a Page is by far the best way to support our non-profit's mission. Your page is something permanent -- hence not being able to change it's name -- but by using some of the (free...

  • Re: Creating Nonprofit Facebook Page

According to Facebook, once you create a name for your page, it is not possible to change it. http://www.facebook.com/help/search.php?hq=change%20name I have noticed that in the Facebook search, it can be difficult to find a page unless you include keywords which are included in the actual page title...

  • Re: Changing Facebook from individual to group?

I asked a knowledgeable Facebook engineer I know your question and this was his response: I'm afraid we no longer support any migration of users, say from group members to page fans. The case of an individual to a group is even more unusual (since profiles are intended for individuals not groups...

  • Re: Creating Nonprofit Facebook Page

I am in the process of creating a Facebook page for my nonprofit. I have the dream to create a simple app that allows people to affix a button to their profile to show support for the organization. Our real-life buttons are very popular amongst our consituents and I'd like a way for people to show...
