Chris, This information would be very helpful for other Skype users on a network. Maybe you could write an article with simple step-by-step instructions and then have it uploaded to the TechSoup website. Many of us are not all that technologically savvy, but willing to try something with adequate instructions.

I am assuming you're using the multi-user version, correct? Is there any way to contact this individual and ask him/her the admin password? Then simply log on as admin and go into preferences and give yourself admin rights. You will probably have to do this in single user mode.
