I realize that this program has received a lot more response than initially anticipated, but trying to get any real status on our order has been futile. I ordered a laptop well over a month ago and have not received any sort of status on a ship date. I called Techsoup Stock two weeks ago and was told the laptop would ship that day. I called again today

Download accelerators are a fallacy. You will never get more out of your bandwidth than what you already have. If you are on dialup running at 56k, installing any kind of software is not going to ever make that 56K pipe any larger...EVER.

If you are hosting the SQL back end at your location you can also host the web site there as well. It will save on hosting costs and you can do all the development and changes locally. You have everything there that you need to get both things accomplished. I would however also reccomend that you get a firewall installed if you are getting broadband

Don't know if this is the place to post this question, but here goes. Is Symantec ever going to offer their LiveState Standard Server or Desktop bare metal restore product? This would be a valuable tool for a lot of non-profits since there is really no other product offered here for backing up servers, etc.

Set up a VPN dial-in connection to your workstation. You can allow the connection to only the workstation or allow access to the entire network. It is under "Set up an advanced connection" and you can set all of your other network connection preferences during this set up.
