I'm working with an NPO that's struggling to keep backup tapes switched daily on their new W2K3 server. Through luck, I have use of a storage server, and have discussed with them doing offsite incremental backup via the internet. Does anyone know of decent free or cheap software that supports internet backup? Or would I be better off using the

I second the recommendation against Blogger, both for dealing with multiple authors, etc., plus reliability (I've heard, not experienced). Typepad is a hosted Moveable Type blog setup which can be customized with your own stylesheets; that would allow for simple blog hosting that you could pull into your site via the RSS feed. I could have posted the same question; I've downloaded or ordered several Linux versions, and have access to a W2K3 server to learn on (as long as I don't change anything!). Can anyone recommend a good book or tutorial? I have lots of accidental tech experience, but don't know much beyond the user interface.

If you need tracking more than other features, there's a good discussion of inventory software here: inventory software which includes info about Open Computers and Softwares Inventory, which has spaces for tracking problems and repairs for each computer.

Setting up Outlook to share calendars is fairly simple (see MS article Q258619 in their knowledge base), but our experience is that it isn't consistent.
