  • Internet backup software

I'm working with an NPO that's struggling to keep backup tapes switched daily on their new W2K3 server. Through luck, I have use of a storage server, and have discussed with them doing offsite incremental backup via the internet. Does anyone know of decent free or cheap software that supports internet backup? Or would I be better off using the

  • RE: Blogs - Hosted by head office, editable by remote chapters?

I second the recommendation against Blogger, both for dealing with multiple authors, etc., plus reliability (I've heard, not experienced). Typepad is a hosted Moveable Type blog setup which can be customized with your own stylesheets; that would allow for simple blog hosting that you could pull into your site via the RSS feed. • RE: Scheduling/Calendar software? - networked?

Setting up Outlook to share calendars is fairly simple (see MS article Q258619 in their knowledge base), but our experience is that it isn't consistent. Most of our 20+ users get updates to the calendar, and can access it to add events. Some, however, never get any updates. We've given up on it. Whether it will work with a smaller network, I

  • Training tech staff

We work on a team basis, I lead the computer team, and will soon add 3 members. They are at about the "power user" level of knowledge, and I need a plan to train them to support users, problem-solve, and help with network administration. Can anyone point me to a good resource to use? Almost all of them reflect my bias towards learning by doing, rather
