  • RE: Do board members at your nonprofit use the Web to collaborate?

    We did create a board area on our website to post regularly needed information like meeting calendars, board directory, minutes and other documents. However, they don't seem to access it much and it's been very difficult to get committee chairs to submit their minutes and agendas to post on the site.

    Amen Brother! I had that exact experience - the webhost set up our Domain Name and everything went to them. We ran into continuous problems with their web hosting not to mention numerous personality clashes...and they charged us an arm and a leg to host the site. When it came time to move everything I had to crawl back and nicely ask for the admin password

    I have to agree with DonC. Content is usually not the "domain" of the designer. Even in my organization where I do a fair amount of web maintenance I insist that someone provide me with text. I've also mocked up sites with "Lorem Ipsum Doler" to help get the point across that I need them the give me the words. In fact having good, up to date well
