  • Symantec Antispam becoming less effective?

It seems in the last few months I am getting much more spam than when we first started using Symantec Premium Antispam in Symantec Mail Security for MS Exchange a couple years ago. Has anyone else seen this? Or is something off in my configuration, though I don't remember making any changes? My licenses are all up to date. The weird thing is that
  • Re: Adobe for churches

Pastor Steve, You'll find churches don't qualify for 98% of the TechSoup Stock products including Microsoft and Cisco. These forums are a valuable resource for tech help for nonprofits. I get my nonprofit licenses (Microsoft, Symantec and Adobe) through www.provantage.com . They have the best deals I've found on these license types. InDesign

  • RE: FolderShare, Live Mesh or Dropbox

So I finally installed LiveMesh and FolderShare, kind of redundant but thought I'd give both a try. I like LiveMesh so far but it doesn't work with mapped network shares. And the other issue is current versions don't support Windows 2000 server. I could install an older version of FolderShare. But does this even make sense? From a security

  • RE: FolderShare, Live Mesh or Dropbox

Thanks Don & Dmitry. Don, That sounds like a great option for laptops but our users are still desktop based. Dmitry, SugarSync looks good, very similar to dropbox. Still not clear on how these (FolderShare, DropBox, and now SugarSync) would work with network shares? Another idea: could I set up the intranet to access out network shares in such a

  • FolderShare, Live Mesh or Dropbox

It seems to me I should be able to use FolderShare, Live Mesh or DropBox to give folks access to documents while offsite and yet keep the local document synced? I could use remote desktop (Small Biz Server 2003 standard) but that requires desktops to be powered on, which my Director of Operations abhors because of the electricity wasted with machines

  • ActiveSync and Small Business Server 2003

Anyone have info or a link to getting ActiveSync working with Small Business Server 2003? I've got a couple users looking for Push Email on their phones (iPhone and a Voyager??). It might be ready to go today, I honestly haven't tried setting up the profiles on their phones (I get a little nervous messing with their phones). I did set up the

  • RE: Indesign Software - Have you used it?

Diane, I use InDesign for most of my publications. It is fairly easy to use if you have a basic understanding of desktop publishing, even some experience with Microsoft Publisher will help. Basically it allows you to create text boxes anywhere on a page in whatever shape you want, though it is really best to stick to some kind of grid system when working

  • RE: best all-in-one for small office?

For your scanning needs I'd take a hard look at leasing a network copier. Especially if you are really focusing on scanning piles of documents. They are built with a focus on high quality ADF and duplexing. The all-in-ones are going to scrimp on those areas, especially sub-$200 machine.

  • RE: Company software on staff home computer

Dave, This PAGE actually says HUP is available for Charity Open. Yes I agree many NPOs probably aren't maintaining software assurance, but for less than $30 a year to keep legit and keep the CEO's assistant happy I think it might be worth looking into!

  • RE: Microsoft Office 2003 installation problem

Do you have access to your organization's eOpen License Center (or whatever Microsoft is calling these days)? From there you can download the latest Office 2003 CD image. I'd download it to a network folder and run setup from the network folder. A google search for sku011.cab also brought me to this MS page . It could be that you had a trial
