  • Re: SalesForce use for non-profits

We are exploring on-line CRM solutions. What do people like? civiCRM is one possibility we are looking at. Any feedback about that path?

I am very interested in this also. Have you looked at civiCRM? http://civicrm.org/ My organization is experimenting with civiCRM on a Drupal platform for training event management - still in development, no evaluation yet. I have not had a chance to look closely, have mixed reports from friends. But it looks like it is trying to be just what you are

  • RE: How do you keep your computer safe at public hotspots?

Useful article - thanks. There are several services - gotomypc, logmein.com and others - that offer a remote encrypted connection via a third server on the web - sort of a vpn via an outside server - how secure are these services and are they secure in a public setting? Also Thawte offers a free personal email digital certificate.

  • how to make an email footer and header

We want to set up an email template with the organization logo and colors in a header band and a footer band that contains a link to our website. I've seen this in other organization emails but am not sure of the best way to accomplish it. Suggestions?

  • Seeking model for database documentation

My organization needs to write a simple manual for endusers and administrators that documents the forms and fields in the database - not a technical piece so much as a practical explanation and description - the manual will be compiled by non-techies - I am looking for a model or template to use. Any suggestions?

  • Switches redux - Cisco?

Hi - one of our switches seems to be failing and the Cisco switches look like a solution. I'm looking for info from people here who have gotten the Cisco switches - I see from other threads that people like them as switches but I have some questions about the arrangement with Cisco. As I read the purchase agreement we would be paying each year for

  • RE: What Switch to Buy

Hi - I have gotten four notices of a new post on this thread replying to my post - but when I log on I only see my post from 2/23 and preceding - I dont know if the notifications are not true or if for some reason I am not seeing more recent posts. If I am missing posts could someone email me and tell me so? Thanks. jhalloran@mdchildcare.org
