  • Re: Windows 7... we want to know what you want to know!

I'm a little disturbed that the Windows 7 Enterprise upgrade won't upgrade just any Microsoft operating system... If I get a great deal on some workstations, but they don't have the correct version of Vista, the upgrade won't install... Over the last few years it seems Microsoft is trying to force people to linux. Why can't the Windows

  • RE: Do you use an automated online backup service?

As a reply to the dirt cheap $20 per year for 1GB Mozy Home gives you unlimited automatic backup with a real backup client for less than $55 per year. www.mozy.com Been using MozyPro since it's startup with no problems. Great for retreiving that Word doc you accidently saved over...

  • RE: Looking for an online backup/file sharing service

I believe that MozyPro offers the most bang for the buck if you are backing up an office with server(s). www.mozypro.com I've used the service since the startup and have been VERY happy with the pricing and service.

  • RE: Norton 360 - Anyone else had problems?

After my first install I had all kinds of trouble... I uninstalled, then ran the Norton Removal tool available as a download from Symantec. It removes ALL Norton/Symantec stuff. After reinstalling and setting the local network as trusted, 360 and everything else are working fine. On all the other installs I ran the Norton Removal tool first, then installed

  • RE: Publisher 2007 no longer for publishing!

Thanks My main concern was taking the information from Outlook 2007 and getting it back into Outlook 2003? I'm not sure if they changed the format of the .pst files with the latest Outlook version. I've been checking the Microsoft Knowledge Base and it seems that some of the Beta testers wanted to revert back to Office 2003. Their response seems

  • RE: How Do I get Business Contact Manager in office professional plus 2007?

I have the same problem and the current answer is You Don't. BCM is included with Office Pro but not with Office Pro Plus. I was told by Tech Soup that they would not be offering the license for BCM on it's own. Probably need to purchase the licensing from a place like Insight.

  • RE: Publisher 2007 no longer for publishing!

One other problem with the above... After removing Publisher2007 and installing Publisher 2003 the rest of Office 2007 now seems to be acting a little strange. I'm afraid if I uninstall 2007 to do a full install of Office 2003 I'll loose all my Outlook contacts and email & folders. Something to think about before upgrading to 2007.

  • Publisher 2007 no longer for publishing!

Since the early days of Publisher our organization has used it to publish all our books, booklets, workbooks, and newsletters. We've never had any problems with any previous versions so I had no problem upgrading to the latest (2007) version of Office. If you print using a plate based system, like an offset press with computer platemaker or digital

MozyPro is now available!!! I've been a beta tester (also a paying customer) and LOVE the service. It backs up our mail server, databases (while in use) and all our other files on the server automatically. Recovering this morning's version (or last Tuesday morning's version for that matter)of the file you screwed up this afternoon couldn't

  • RE: Do you use an automated online backup service?

I had been looking at the regular Mozy Backup, but it wouldn't run on Windows Server 2000 or 2003. The Pro version does. Hence my calling it server backup. Our old travan tape drive only backed up our server once a day. Tapes cost around $40 and only last a little more than a year. We used a rotating set of 5. Mozy Pro only costs slightly more per
