To add to the post there are no "NO Monthly fee" online processing services that provide a "real" merchant account. But there are special offers out there for Non-Profits. I see all sort of options from our end being a payment systems and industry consultant for close to 12 years. If you want some recommendations or offers feel free

I'm not sure what you need specifically out of a Donor Management solution but I can tell you that you can use a merchant account that has a Quickbooks plusing already and allows processing via web for a fraction of the cost of Giftworks (transction fees are more like 2.2% instead of the over 4% of giftworks and monthly fees are cheaper as well

I can tell you that PCI compliance is a real initiative that needs to be followed, even by Paypal or other 3rd party users. Some real merchant account providers charge extra for a PCI program that they've implemented for their merchants (many more will in the future). But at the least merchants need to find out from their processor is they are PCI

That's tough and very unfortunate. Especially since you've received so many different answers. It could have been user entry error or a terminal error but if you were Host based and ran a successful transaction you should have received all your funds. If you would like help finding alternative payment processing or ecommerce

The processing providers that we work with are very Non-Profit friendly so I can assure you that NPC isn't the only option for Non-Profits not wanting to sign

I'm not a designer but I have two good friends that own very professional design firms and I can tell you that if you find a good, professional design firm they can deliver on what you need (no matter how big or small). Honestly the only difference between the larger non-profit sites and the smaller "joe non-profit" sites is that the larger

In response to this post they both have their advantages. But a more professional approach is to use both a "Real" Online merchant account (like Authorize.net but there are other "real" options that are cheaper than going direct with Authorize.net) and Paypal's free Web Link as an alternative option, because Paypal is still much

DonorCharge and GiveZooks are also good options DonorCharge is also a good option ( www.donorcharge.com ), this service allows Non-Profits to setup a free account to receive small donations of each credit card sale from businesses that support them. You may either connect with existing participating businesses or refer a business that already supports
