Uninstall any versions of Nortion (or any other AV software) before attempting a fresh install. Also make sure the registry is clean as there may be some leftoever vestiges from previous attempts. -Todd

Try Consisten Computer Bargains and see if they can't get you a contract. They're a nonprofit that only handles nonprofit accounts and they are a Symantec partner. http://www.ccbnonprofits.com/ -Todd

You can just install Office over the previous versions. For the mail list I would recommend a backup first--always a good idea even if you're not upgrading. It's just a matter of when, not if, the computer dies, so it's good to have backups in a secure offsite place.

These are a couple of bare bones systems. They run Power Point presentations 24x7 and that's it. No screen saver, no apps, nor even anyone at the keybaord. I'm perplexed why the script doesn't work unattended as they work just fine when I stand there and do a test in the middle of the afternoon. Set it to turn off in five minutes, then a

VPN and RDP can take care of all the employee's needs while they're on the road. For the laptops themselves, don't cheap out on the hard drive

I act strange too. It sounds like your system is infected with malware. Rename CLBCATQ.dll to CLBCATQ.old and see if that doesn't help. Chances are though if you've got one, you've got a dozen. Unless you're handy around a computer, it's time to get it professionaly cleaned. -Todd
