When there is a DVI card installed on a computer, there can be a conflict with the VGA port. Also, I have found that some adapters can not accomodate certain models. I would also recommend looking at the graphics drivers. What about the installation of a DVI card on the computer in question vs an adapter?

At times, installed software corrupts the operating system enough that it requires the hard drive to be reformated and the OS reinstalled. There is a limit to CC Cleaners ability to correct registry errors. A periodic reinstallation of the OS is common with heavly used systems.
