I would like to add a 'vote' for Drop.io . They recently added even more features (ability to conference call into your dropbox to record a conversation or lecture and the ability to sell your files). I currently have two paid dropboxes at 1GB each (for work and home). You can use the free service or you can purchase annual credits that allow

[quote]It incorrectly implies in a very general sense that open source solutions are not robust enough to solve complicated business needs. Did you know the entire Java version 6 is now Open Source? Open Office, a fantastic alternative to Microsoft Office, is open source. I know your aim was to direct the original poster to an open-sourced solution

The ability to pull all email into one 'messages' folder is, as far as I know, determined by your current theme. For example, I use the Scribble theme offered by RIM. In this theme, all email is pulled into a single folder. My wife uses the default AT&T theme which separates ever email account into its own folder. I personally find this

This problem is also very common when you have multiple nested DIV's and tables -and- the width of the combined nested items is wider than the containing DIV or table (or "wrapper"). To troubleshoot the problem, you can add up the pixels used by the nested items (be sure to include padding and margins) and see if this is more than the outer container's

Are you looking for something much more robust than an open source solution? Something with merchant account integration, extensive reporting, tiered pricing, class rosters, etc.? I'm gonna have to go with Sasha on this one. Why re-invent the wheel? CSS and HTML are powerful tools, but why use them to build an entire site when you can build the site using a CMS and then concentrate your efforts on what really matters...the content. Use the HTML and CSS skills, if you feel the need, to build functional, aesthetically pleasing

My only experience with forms to databases is through posting form data to CSV format instead of to email and then importing this into Access manually. If Tim doesn't have a more direct solution, this might be a valid option.

Sorry, forgot two things I was going to post: Did you hear this story on NPR this week? Very interesting story about a possible protein treatment for Fragile X: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=94810949 Also, while I was browsing last night I found the following "Social Media Kit". It is an interesting read about what is and how

A couple of things come to mind: Ning.com (as previously mentioned) - I have been involved with Ning since it was first announced. I have had several friends and clients use it very successfully. The ability to pull in information from other sources, post multiple types of multimedia and the built-in forum-like features all come bundled with an extremely

Right, OpenOffice is in no way created with page layout in mind, but I have run into several people over the years using the tools included in OpenOffice (or MS Word) very effectively. I guess it just depends on which interface you are most comfortable with. I can't manage to do anything with Publisher or Word b/c I am more accustomed to the Adobe
