i prefer to just download and install. it is usually faster this way as well because all of the files are already on your system and do not have to be copied from a disc. they do need to be extracted, but i believe it is easier. also saves tree's.

yeah, avg works the best for me. i also use adaware to remove spyware. i have had no problems so far. good luck in removing those viruses. :wink;

yeah, i agree. a laptop on its own will probably affect your posture, however i use usb keyboard and mouse and it helps a lot. remember to stretch regularly with computer work as well. :smile;

i once had a problem very similar to yours. i stayed up all night turning my computer on/off around 75 times. i fell asleep around 4am, woke up around 10am and tried to boot up again. for whatever reason, it worked fine. maybe you can try the same thing? good luck to you. :smile;

if when you press the power button there is no response at all from any of the components, then it is most likely your power supply that needs to be replaced. if however, you hear fans turning on but you can not load up the machine, you probably damaged a part of the motherboard with static. good luck with that, i know how frustrating it can be.
