  • RE: The benefits of using a CMS

I have experience with about a dozen CMS applications, and I still have a fondness for the free ones. SharePoint Server 2007 is fantastic, but configuring it, customizing it, and getting support for it can be costly in terms of time and money. Go with something like Joomla, and there is a huge community out there waiting to help you out.

I would look into hosting your site with an organization that provides Fantastico - it will configure and install Joomla and / or Drupal so you can play around and see what works best for you. • RE: from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2007

You can do it. Like hopeitdept said, export everything and save it somewhere. Then import it into 2007. MSFT does this pretty well, though I'd suggest checking out your data after the migration. Good Luck, Josh Milane MIT Technical Consulting

  • RE: Databases for small organizations?

If you already have the MS Suite, people do very well with Access. If you need a little more power and money is an issue, I have had fantastic luck with MySQL. It depends what you need to use the DB for and what your plans are. Good Luck! Josh Milane MIT Technical, Boston
