sugarcrm is not open source. they are converting to a shared source licensing scheme based on the microsoft model. just wanted to clarify and inform the poster if he/she is tyring to pick a true open source solution.

you might look into opensource 'groupware' or 'crm' projects that do what you describe. These projects include phpGroupware, vtiger crm, netOffice, etc. They are listed at sourceforge or on freshmeat. Just search for 'groupware' or 'crm'.
