  • Re: symantec endpoint11.0

I have been using Symantec Products on my own network as well as my customer networks for 6 years now. Endpoint is probably the best product they have had. Although as with any enterprise security software, it takes some understanding to install and configure. Once configured properly, you can sleep well knowing that you are (for the most part) guarded

  • Re: Iphone Sync

Unless you want to lose all of their existing contacts I would advise against synching it with anything just yet. The iphone will only keep one or the other (either contacts on the phone or the contacts from the computer). What you need to do is to have the users manually go through their Outlook contact list and enter any missing phone contacts. Only

  • Re: Lets talk backups

Hi! I guess my first question is why are you in a peer network when you have that many users and access to products at Tech Soup? Try disabling the windows firewall and any other firewall product you may have (symantec, mcafee etc). Then provide the nic with a static IP (one that is

  • Re: Remote File & Quickbooks Sharing

You also mentioned that you could consider a hosted service which you should look into. The reason I say this is because I think having someone (outsourced) manage your network and or server on a monthly contract might be too much for you financially. I speak from experience because this is what my company does. On average we charge 300+/mo to monitor

  • Re: Deciding on which version of Windows 2003 server to use

Are you hosting your own e-mail?? If not you should and then you could go with Small Business Server and Server 2003 or 2008. Your organization size is perfect for Small Business Server and it comes with Exchange so you can host your e-mail. Just my 2 cents of course :)

Not sure if you have found a solution or not but in 9 years we have only lost 2 bids due to price. We can compete with any manufacture (yes including dell) especially when it comes to servers. It cannot hurt to allow us to provide you with a quote. Thanks! Tim Hays President/CEO Precision Web Tech, Inc. NEW SITE COMING SOON!
