My organization is also interested in SP. Would it be appro to use as a company intranet? We have identified file sharing as a primary use for an intranet but would like other features such as: - booking common resources (ie. laptop, broadroom) - posting messages - staff listing with photos Any intranet solution suggestions?

Thanks ethosphane - you've provided a good suggestion but due to the nature of our content I'm not sure it is appro. For example, would a blog like system work if you needed more than one RSS feed? We were hoping for an RSS system similar to a news website with multiple RSS for different subject areas ie. http://www.cbc.ca/rss/ I do like the

Thanks Amit - I've looked into Feedyes. I got the impression it's primarily for users to create their own feeds for websites that don't (a bandaid solution for feed readers). Feedyes also has information about creating a feed for one's website but the information and support is minimal. Feedyes is web and subscription based - $29.95

Chief - you took the words out of my mouth. There are many articles ABOUT rss, how to read them and the benefits. I'm sold on it already but how to I actually build one (or two) feeds. I've read a few articles which explain how to hand code a feed which techically, I am capable of doing but it's not practical since my organization would

I want to set up RSS feeds for my organization's website (one for the podcasts, one for special events, etc). Any recommendations? Our site is a coldfusion site. Something with a wizard or admin interface would be ideally since I'm not a programmer. We have the budget to purchase something if needed. Thanks!

Our museum uses the free wordpress version to host a WWI blog. We have hundreds of letters a Canadian doctor wrote to his wife during the war. Wordpress is a quick and easy to start blogging for non techies. We looked at Blogger but it can take a few minutes to post a new message because it generates the entire blog again. Wordpress seems faster.

Does anyone have any suggestions or resources for how to perform an intranet needs analysis for an organization? Examples of survey questions, process, technology, etc? Thanks!

My organization would like to set up an RSS feed for our website. We often have new programs added to the calendar of events, new articles, new visiting hours, etc. There's been a lot of discussions about why RSS is a good thing and how a reader subscribes and uses an RSS, but how exactly does one create these RSS? Is there a software program that

Our museum is interested in starting a blog. Any software recommendations? Experience using SixPart blogs? Not sure we have the technical personnel to support open source like Wordpress. Any other products we should consider? Thanks!
