We have three or four people in the office who would like to access parts of documents that are spread out across their desktops. They want to type in keywords and have the text displayed from individual documents so they can open up a document and copy a paragraph to use in whatever they are doing. I showed them Google Docs but it doesn't give

We'd be happy with two InDesign CS. Got any ideas of how to do so legally? I checked out eDirect and I don't understand how they can legally offer products so much less, even though they have all those seals of approval at the bottom.

I'm helping my bike maintenance co-op with some of their communications issues, and they want a way to send text only email newsletters to their members. In the email they want an easy way for people to unsbuscribe. They'd also like a way to keep track of their members, to see whose membership has expired and whose is about to expire. I've

I'm always trying to spread the word about Interplast. While I want more readers and get delighted by incoming links and mentions on other blogs, I'm wary about giving all of our content to those who turn around and make money from it. Is that unfounded? I just got a request to take the feed from our blog and aggregate it on a site which appears

Ming and Beth, Thanks! I didn't know that I could toggle the download size in Flickr with my pro account. I checked it out and it looks like I can just give everyone in the office our account info and then teach them (as you have just taught me) how to download a print-worthy file size. The 2GB limit seems fine for me, I'll just upload 2GB per

Hi. Here at Interplast , we have thousands of pictures from all over the world, collected haphazardly for years. I'm looking for a way to create a library that anyone in our office can use when they need a picture of, say... a girl with a cleft lip from Puno, Peru. Many of our pictures are used for print materials, so we need to give our staff members

I've written them a number of times, and I just did again. It seems weird because it can't take much effort to just block that URL. It's also weird that the only posts from our main Interplast blog that show up under the search "Interplast" in Technorati do so under the title "Archives".

Crap! Check out http://technorati.com/search/interplast The list is full of entirely identical posts that someone else has scraped from the Interplast blog to add content to their spam sites. This is definitely not what I want people to see when they search for "Interplast" on Technorati. Is this something to worry about or not? Is there anything I

So I have recently become overwhelmed with the number of social bookmarking tools out there. Digg, Reddit, Furl, Spurl, del.icio.us, etc. Which should I use on the Interplast blogs , and in what format? On each post or just on the sidebar? What about this?

Hi, I am not very happy with the built in stat counter that Typepad includes on Typepad blogs. I also use Sitemeter but am also not pleased. Does anyone have any stat counter that they feel strongly about? Is there any product that is worth paying for over its free version? The Interplast website has a nice one put on by our website designer, but our
