ok, so i will still need to create mailboxes for everyone, but they will all be fed from our current e-mail service provider, and i won't have to manage a POP3 server, right?

so what you are saying is, setup your Exchange Server as normal but instead of creating exchange mailboxes, just point the server to our providers POP3 address? maybe?

here's what i do, we have a branch office that is not large enough to justify running a network server, so i just use workgroups to link the PC's together and then i hooked up and external hard drive to one of them, shared it with everyone and viola instance shared storage.

I just read the thread about Microsoft OS licensing issues, it was a great thread and very informative, and i can see both sides of the issue, Microsoft doesn't want to just give away it's best products, and NPO's can't afford to pay full price for OS software. so, would my branch office users, who will be connecting via VPN (and anyone else connecting thur VPN, like home-users) need Terminal Service CAL's instead of plain user CAL's?
