This reminds me to pass along a warning to Webmasters and to Accounting Departments: BEWARE OF COMPANIES SENDING DOMAIN REGISTRATION OR SEO SERVICE "RENEWALS" THAT LOOK LIKE A BILL! Some unscrupulous companies out there send out "renewal letters" that look like a bill. If you look REALLY close, you can find the words "This is not a bill" somewhere on

Yes - DEFINITELY change it. And be sure to use email addresses that don't come and go - like an alias that forwards to a couple of POSITIONS (aka webmaster and "info") instead of fredtheintern@xyz.org It gets pretty sticky trying to change registration info when people are gone, email accounts are closed etc. etc. Keep the info current! Its good

Here's another one to look at: www.everystockphoto.com The photos are licensed under Creative Commons, which looks like it has its own image search too: http://creativecommons.org/find/ Just ran across these, so haven't had a chance to use them yet. When necessary to post email addresses on an unsecured website, you can use a software to munge the address, so it looks and acts correct, but the spambots generally don't harvest it. Here's a free script to munge your addresses: http://www.closetnoc.com/mungemaster/mungemaster.pl Roger K. www.GimmeMyDomains.com www.NPAcademy.org

I've enjoyed using the Etomite CMS. Yeah - it seems that a "cease and desist" letter from a lawyer would probably start to get his attention, and then the reminder that if he collects any money when people think they're donating to your NPO, that's called fraud.... Hopefully that'll get his attention (and cooperation) Good luck on that! Roger K. www.GimmeMyDomains.com

That should work if you're running the full version of Acrobat (sounded like you are). If that doesn't work, there are some free programs to make PDFs. I've used CutePDF. (www.cutepdf.com) Other freeware PDF tools: http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/system/fwpdftools.html Hope that helps, Roger K. www.GimmeMyDomains.com

Anyone have experience with either DotProject or phpProjekt? They are both open source PHP scripts that look pretty powerful from my untrained eye. ;-) We used DotProject for organizing tasks on setting up a new charter school, and it seemed to help pretty well, but we probably only scratched the surface in using them. Thanks for your insights. Roger

Hey MJ - Does Pandela allow you to host a domain name, or just a subdomain on their site? (I can go look it up, but thought others here might find the answer useful too) Roger K. Navigator Pointe Academy GimmeMyDomains - Domain Name Registration
