User security and permissions dont really have that much to do with the username. There is a SID identifier that controls access. Even if you recreate a userid with exactly the same information, the SID will not be the same. You instead should create a new user, and then give that user account ownership and access to the files in question. Use your

Yes. Definitely put your Cisco Router in front of the SBS server. Since you have a router/firewall and switch, don't set up your SBS server in a 2 NIC configuration. The 2 NIC was more or less designed for small businesses who could not afford a decent firewall router. The 2 NIC config is not really recommended unless you absolutely need it. In

You will also run into that problem with other charity programs including Adobe products. So, to find greatly reduced prices on software (including Microsoft and Adobe) or even hardware for charities/non profits, consider

Yes. The con is that you will often run into stability problems when you mix types, settings, and/or brands of RAM especially when the timing is different. I usually remove the RAM from the PC I want to upgrade and add it to another. Then I am able to replace all the RAM without wasting any.

Yes the Petri.co.il series is a great resource, however, keep in mind that the series is not presented with SBS 2003 in mind. Even if you are choosing to wait for migration to SBS 2008 (which includes Exchange 2007) where many of the concepts for planning may be similar, the actual migration process may be quite different.
