You can do that but it may not be straightforward. Depending on where you store the user info (cookie, session) you can wrap the download into a php, asp, jsp whatever page and log which session/user downloads which item. I'm not sure how good this one is, but I've read an article on EWeek about it (couple of weeks ago). http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1418169,00.asp It had pretty good reviews. Here are two that offer a free trial, I've used both of them a long time ago and was happy with their service. I'm not sure if they are still any good, I think both trials are for about 30 days. http://www.filesanywhere.com/ http://www.freedrive.com/ Jim Davis >-How do you document your network?- http://www.myCMDB.com Network Inventory and Configuration

I agree AIDA is very powerful and goes into a lot of details. If you are looking at an AIDA like solution which will automatically upload the discovered information into a searchable network inventory and configuration system check out myCMDB.com. myCMDB allows you to bridge the gap between the discovered system info and the technology planning domain

myCMDB is an online network inventory system which allows you to keep track of your network inventory (actual or planned equipment). myCMDB is not a "core" tech planning tool but it helps planners in the process and allows for periodic audits using automated discovery. We usually charge for the service but offer it for free for non profit organizations
