School Guidance Counselor K-12 for 14 yrs. Six years with the Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Served as a liaison for a mentor project (earned the Governor’s WIN award) and provided transition services. January, 2006, I relocated to Texas to work with the State DARS Division of Blind Services and Division of Rehabilitation for 3 years as a transition vocational rehabilitation counselor This was followed by earning a position with the University of North Texas/UNT WISE to provide Instructional services in five states then transferred to Coordinated a transition project and worked as a business consultant. Appointed to chair the Mayor's committee for people with disabilities, (served 2 years). I retired in 2012 to complete a skills curriculum for young adults with significant barriers to employment. Now developing a train-the-trainer project for group facilitators to learn how to use the Community Integrated EMPLOYMENT, materials developed for working with small groups. Received IRS approval for the Community Integrated EMPLOYMENT, 501 (c) 3 Nonprofit was accepted in Sept of 2014. I serve as President with a mission to expand pre-vocational services to other agencies in meeting the needs of youth with significant barriers to employment.
