Since having joined Maine Rural Water Association in January of 2005, Jason is responsible for preparing Annual Drinking Water Quality Reports, also known as the Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs) for association members. Jason also writes CCRs for the Connecticut members of the Atlantic States Rural Water and Wastewater Association, preparing hundreds of reports every year between the two associations. Jason is responsible for organizing and conducting Income Surveys and formal funding applications for the two associations, where municipalities (on behalf of water and/or wastewater systems) apply for state and/or federal grants and low- to no-interest loans for facilities/infrastructure improvements. Jason is one of three staff members responsible for MRWA's GPS/GIS & Mapping Services and he also has recently taken over as MRWA’s Communications & Technology Coordinator.
Jason is also involved in the MRWA Education Outreach Program, providing environmental education including watershed and groundwater sessions. In addition, Jason is also involved in MRWA's Training Department through a number of responsibilities.
Jason graduated from Bishop's University with a Bachelors of Science in 2003. He received a double major in Biology/Ecology and Environmental Studies. Jason volunteered with the Maine Conservation Corps and AmeriCorps where he served as the Volunteer Program Coordinator for the Maine Department of Transportation in the Environmental Office before joining our staff.
