My Juno e-mail is suddenly problematic! This turned up immediately after I had been surfing a number of new webpages... suspicious.
The problem is that all of the messages are unreadable. All characters are replaced with the empty rectangle that indicates an unreadable character. Ditto for the address book. The messages appear to be still there; for example, messages that brought up a website still bring up a website. They just don't display any more!
Help, please, anyone???
I ran AVG anti-virus software and it did not catch any malware.

It sounds like you might have a problem with your Juno account is it the free Juno Web account Dial up Service or is it the Juno Website E-mail, do you have the latest version of Juno, as far as the rectangle charachters they tend to lead me to believe that it is set to a foreign language setting a little more Info would be helpful and what OS do you have.
:smile;
I have been using Juno for years--several versions on several different computers--and never seen this.
Are you using version 5.0 or newer? Run the Juno Backup Wizard (Start>Programs>Juno>JBW). Then delete your account (be sure to use the "only from this computer" option) and then import your account. Then Restore using the JBW. (BTW, you have to run the JBW with Juno CLOSED.)
Did this help? If not, download a copy of Juno to your desktop (if you don't have the CD) and uninstall Juno via the Control Panel. Reboot and reinstall Juno, import your account, backup using Restore from the JBW and see if that works.
If you still get jibberish, go through the same procedure, but don't restore your e-mail folders, just your address book. You will lose all e-mails, but at least you'll be able to use Juno.
