Thanks for the input Yann. I had some some searches like that, but I think mostly I found web hosts that provided some pet related themed site.
A shelter website's (at least in my case) biggest function is to display the animals they have for adoption. So, there is a lot of publishing of pictures, along with the description of a given animal. To make things more efficient, an upload process that took a source image and created appropriately sized thumbs and larger image for display.
I had actually had a good start on a site based on the ASP.net Club Starter Kit (http://www.asp.net/downloads/starter-kits/club/), which I still may end up trying to finish, but thought I would look to see if there was any good sites available in a canned template. The Club starter kit, with some modifications to the Photo Albums, is actually a decent fit I think. But, there is a lot of code there and I'm very much a novice, so bascially anything I do or want to do, I have to research how to do it. It's not something I know how to do off the top of my head :) I guess it would be easier if I was an ASP developer by trade, but I'm not :). So, going with that template was becoming very time consuming.
Our org is http://www.adoptapetfm.org/index.html and the site is basically from the mid to late 90s :) and while simple, is kind of a pain to expand since nothing uses templates and they originally used some web hosts (WYSIWYG) wizard to create everything.
I have have to revisit my Club site implementation and see if I can finish that the way I want. But certainly am open to other suggestions :) I'm not a web developer. I had some very basic C# and VB skill's at one point, and have currently been using basic html on the site. Ideally, I'd like to stay with Microsoft technologies, which is one reason the ASP Club site was appealing.
thanks,
