Good question! I'm willing to pay for web services that:
1. Provide reliable email support.
My solution: For 12 years, I've paid for basic email (POP and web) from a small provider run by reliable people I know, who respond via... one email query to solve any problems I can’t solve myself. Perfect!
2. Provide global news information and reportage.
My solution: Patronize a few services that offer information at two levels, i.e. one for-free-overview level, and the second-for-fee more in-depth coverage in articles, reports, white papers, etc.
3. Provide reliable, secure, large-scope meeting and conferencing online service.
My solution: Access to license-based products of various capacities and costs, i.e. open-source DimDim, and other proprietary products such as Microsoft LiveMeeting, Citrix GoTo, for meetings, trainings, and conference-type gatherings , with global reach, and effectively limitless scope.
What do you all think?
