Hello and thanks for the screenshots! Our website is generally made to work with IE, but I will pass along this information.

Why wouldn't the website be generally made using standards and techniques that allow proper display regardless of the web browser or operating system?

Yes, Internet Explorer, FireFox, Safari, Chrome etc. may have their own "quirks" (which even change depending on the version), but there are many sites that are designed to display correctly in all of those browsers.

Sorry, I just tend to see the "generally made to work with IE" comments as a bit of a cop out. Internet Explorer may be used by the majority of people accessing TechSoup, but that shouldn't be used as a reason not to support other platforms.

Thank you for passing the info along.

The Login Page is also badly broken in Google Chrome.

Hello!

  We have some more information about our new web pages and Safari! It's a known issue for Safari users and we're working on it now. Until we have a fix, we suggest that our Mac users use FireFox.

Thank you for your feedback!

This has been broken for over two weeks.

The fix is one simple line of CSS.  Please incorporate this into your site's CSS stylesheets as soon as possible.

#login .page-body .main-column { width: 486px; }

Daniel,

  Thank you for the suggestion. This has been passed along! The team is working hard on many projects and we thank you for your patience in this time of upgrade and transition.

Just wanted to update this thread to say the login page and home page are looking good in Safari -- thanks for your efforts to support the Mac community, as well as people using Google Chrome or Safari on Windows, Konqueror or Epiphany on Linux, or a mobile browser on an iPhone, Android, Palm Pre, or Nokia S60 phone, all of which share the same web browser engine.

Cheers,
Daniel
