64 hour videocamera w/64 GB memory or chip - who sells to nonprofits?

Dialogue-Producing Consortium volunteers [tax id 74-1935942] wish to produce show and tell "goal and Q & A presentations" that may be used in support with in-house and public activities. One volunteer's ole Canon has more or less bit the dust; besides it's always taken 7 hours +/- to rip. so as we say on the subject line, we ask for leads on who sells such hardware to nonprofits?

HI, Kenneth,

Welcome to TechSoup. I am moving your post to the Hardware section of our forums as I think you will get the most expert advice on this in that section.

Best wishes,

Sasha

I don't think you will be saving a lot of time by recording to digital memory.  The problem with it today is that most systems will record to a memory chip, but it won't be in the format you need to put into your editing software.  So then you're left with transcoding the video file anyway and it takes about the same amount of time.  You might want to look into a camera that records to miniDV tapes because after you copy the files down to a computer to edit, you can then just set aside your miniDV as a backup of the recorded event.

That being said, I don't know of any hardware vendors that sell specifically to non-profits at a discount for this type of equipment.
