One of NYC’s important and growing cultural institutions is seeking an energetic, hands-on and dedicated IT support manger. This is a full time (35 hours per week) exempt position involving platform and application support, as well as light duty server and network troubleshooting.

Duties include:
-    Provide ongoing assistance to users in computer and printer troubleshooting, as well as application support (primarily office applications).
-    - Manage active directory accounts and assist users with login configurations and issues
-    - Provide support for online and desktop communication and messaging applications including calendar and calendar syncing, email account management and troubleshooting, online document and Web content management systems
-    Maintain support records and service contracts
-    Assist with specifying and purchasing endpoint equipment
-    Maintain server backups and do daily checks of logs
-    Assist with server and network maintenance

Skills required:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Windows and Macintosh computers, network printers, knowledge of TCP/IP, MCSE certification, Bachelors degree in related area or equivalent experience. Availability for weekends (with prior notice) as well as occasional evening work.

Knowledge of switching, routing, Windows server, and GoogleApps a plus. Experience in science, education and museum environments a plus.
