I contacted Microsoft as I can not our volume license product key for Office Professional 2007.  They say it is expired and I have to have you renew it.  How do I do this?

When did you order your Microsoft Office products from TechSoup?

What Office product did you Order from TechSoup?

On the Microsoft E-Open web site, what product keys are listed (NOT the key but what the key is for like Office XP, Office 2003 etc)?

I suspect you ordered you office products over two years ago and Office 2007 was not available by the time the software advantage expired, so you keys are only valid for the previous versions of Office Like Office XP (2002) and Office 2003.   If this is the case then you need to order the new version of Office 2007 or just continue to use the previous version as listed on the E-Open site.

Hi Cynthia,

When you spoke with Microsoft, did they say that your licenses had expired or was it your license agreement? The license agreement and the software assurance benefits last automatically for two years from the time you register with Microsoft's eOpen website or activate your licenses by phone. One of the main benefits of maintaining your license agreement is the continued ability to access and retrieve your Volume Licenses Keys. It is our understanding that the licenses themselves do not expire, but the benefits of the agreement and Software Assurance will, unless you decide to renew or extend those benefits which, I believe, needs to be done before the expiration date.

You may need to consider requesting new licenses through TechSoup or a Charity Reseller. For more information on Software Assurance, please visit our information page: http://www.techsoup.org/stock/microsoft/ms_assurance.asp and the Microsoft FAQ: http://www.techsoup.org/stock/ms_program_faq.asp
