GIS is an emerging technology of interest in many non profit areas from research to activism and education.

New Urban Research is organizing workshops (not free but affordable) on GIS and mapping Texas communities.

They are all 1 day workshops and will take place this month of May in Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio.
