Infoworld article: "One of cloud computing's best practical apps is community building"

William Hurley uses PBwiki, Google Apps and Facebook to organize an event for 2000 people with 40 volunteers in 8 days (he says.)

"Why aren't more nonprofits and local community groups reaping the benefits of the cloud? I would bet the main reason is related to the lack of exposure they have to the technology. Perhaps they simply need someone to point them in the right direction."

Ditto on using wikis to quickly slam together something in a pinch. We use PBwiki all the time, particularly at BarCamps.

("cloudsource"...there you go.  It's like the author made up that word, and then tried to think of an excuse to write an article around it.)
