Mailing List Maintenance

Hi Everyone,

Our organization has a fundraising event every year called Long Beach Bayou Festival.

We always tried to collection as many attendees data as we can - Mailing Address & E-mail addresses.

So currently we are using Excel to input all these data for mailing, information, and other outreach purposes, but it's such a pain to not being able to consolidate each year data with the previous year.  There always are same group of people attending the fund raising events from year to year, so we don't want to have duplicate data in the Mailing list, for one - not annoying the addressee, and for two - not wasting the postage of sending to the same person twice.

Are there any good software out there that can help us managing this?

Thank you for any suggestions.

Ny

Have you tried or looked at Ebase. It is pretty good for the basics for something more  you will need to pay. I like the  thedatabank. but there are other good ones out there.

Hi Ny,

Usually once you move out of Excell, you would move into a type of software called "donor management software,"  or donor databases. Depending on how simple or complicated the software is, it can run the full range of price.

To look at the range of choices you jhave you might want to check out this resource page, on donor databases.

Donor management software can do many things, including tracking your attendees contact info, attendance history, donation history, and other related data which can help you fundraise.

Best wishes,

Sasha
