volunteer tracking software

We are an all-volunteer Christian based non-profit that provides no-cost home repairs to very low-income elderly homeowners.  We track our volunteer hours by project and on a yearly basis for grant applications.  We have been using MS Excel for 3 years, but this is really time consuming.  Any suggestions for volunteer tracking software?  I noticed ClickTime here on Tech Soup.  Has anyone used it?  Comments?

I have not used ClickTime, but here are two more options for you to consider:

Hi Susan, just moving this discussion over to our Volunteers and Technology forum, as I think many folks there will also have some suggestions for you.

Best,

I have a list of every volunteer management software I've been able to find out about on this web page.

Over on CYBERVPM, there have been many discussions about the most popular volunteer software packages, so you might want to join that group and then do a search on previous discussions, and if you need more info, then post your question there.

It would be terrific if you could post an update here about what software you end up choosing and why.

This could be worth a try and it's free. It is designed for school counselors although is customizable:

The EZAnalyze TimeTracker is a macro-enabled Excel workbook designed to perform note-keeping and time-tracking functions, and generate reports easily for accountability and improved service to students. It works only on PC's.
