I know that a lot of non-profits in Australia use Linux; I've especially read cases of digital divide ones there doing so. I also know people in a variety of non-profits from countries in many places that are using Linux or Unix, and/or other free software/open source software. Idealist, a popular volunteer-matching service, also exclusively uses free software/open source software.
