Hi. My name is Bob Poetschke, and I am a commercial ISP in the Ozarks (yournet.com), working in cooperation with the Newton County Resource Council to address the issue of the "Digital Divide." To that end we addressed the issue of access first, and developed an ISP program for Newton County. We share that revenue 50/50 with the NCRC, so that it can be reinvested in the community.<:LINEBREAK:><:LINEBREAK:>We would like to develop other programs along the same model as the above. However, what this really means is that the program must become self sustaing (ie generate enough profit to pay for itself once grant monies run out.) It is my opinion that this new technology can be used to improve community living standards, excite the youth with results orientated exposure to new ideas and concepts, provide long term job opportunities in rural communities and much, much more.<:LINEBREAK:><:LINEBREAK:>All of this is only possible if such programs can be structured to survive on their own. I look forward with great interest to seeing some creative ideas on how to accomplish this.<:LINEBREAK:><:LINEBREAK:>Thank You<:LINEBREAK:>bobp
