I subscribe to a number of listservs. When I'm out of the office, I don't have an auto-reply away message that responds when someone emails me because this would go out to anyone who posts to one of the email lists I'm on. However, I'd like to have an away message as an FYI for other email inquiries when I'm out of the office.
I don't want to unsubscribe from the email lists every time I am gone. One way around this would be to change my delivery options to "web only" for the email groups I belong to. However, this is time-consuming as well. Is there a way to set up an away message that selectively will not go out to email lists? I am using Outlook 2003.
Thanks!

How about getting a second email address that you use only for the subscribed lists. Like a gmail address. Then forward the second address to your regular email. When you want to auto reply, disconnect the forward on the second address. (it's also possible depending on how the forward is set up, that the out of office messages would only go to the second email address)
It might be possible with the exchange out of office reply to create a "do not send list" for the auto reply but I'm not an exchange person.
