My organization is implementing
LibraryThing. We have a modest library of a few hundred books and reports that has never been very well organized. We have a volunteer library sciences graduate student who is revamping the library for us. He recommended LibraryThing for us because it's an online service, so we won't have to maintain any software. Although I don't have experience using it yet, it's very modestly priced and seems to be user-friendly. One feature I like is the ability to import information about a book from other online catalogs using the
Z39.50 protocol (such as Amazon and some online library catalogs).
