Cool Tool Alert: Soup

What can I say, names with "soup" in them catch my eye. :wink; I just heard about a new microblogging tool called Soup. ReadWriteWeb describes Soup as a mix of Tumblr, Pownce, and a social activity aggregator. It lets you create quick posts of text, photos, audio and video, but also lets you keep an eye on other Soup user's activities. Another feature lets you import all of your activity from other sites like Digg, Twitter, Flickr, delicious, etc. (virtually any outside RSS feed).

So have any of you tried Soup? It looks promising, but I'm not sure yet what would make it distinguishable/preferable to some of the other similar tools out there.

Another interesting thing about Soup is that the sign-in process is different than most Web tools. You actually can try out the features of Soup (i.e. importing a delicous tag, posting text, image, etc.) before you actually have to go through the sign-up process (when you decide to make your content live). I like that you can give this a bit of a test-drive before committing to setting up a user account.
