We're updating our "Working with Technical Volunteers" guidebook, which includes a questionnaire to evaluate a volunteer's skills. I am hoping I can get some help on two questions. Could the Web and/or database developers out there give me some feedback on removing/adding items from/to the following questions to make them more up to date?
1) Check any Web tools you are familiar with:
Page Mill
FrontPage
Home Site
Flash
GoLive
Debabalizer
Image Ready
Dreamweaver
BBedit
2) Please select the databases you have the most experience using:
SQL Server
MySQL
Access
Alpha 5
Approach
Clipper
dBase
FileMaker Pro
4th Dimension
Fox Pro
Oracle
Paradox Q&A
Sybase
Thanks!

I have recently needed volunteers who know how to use Open Office tools, particularly the database and graphic design tools, and can either use them to create what staff needs to advise staff on how to use them themselves.
I've also needed volunteers who know how to use video editing tools, such as Quicktime.

Jane, I agree we should include more audio/visual production tools. Nonprofits should be looking at videos and such for outreach.
Thanks for this and the open software suggestions.
