Our ISP (Broadview) will only allow us to send an email to 25 people at a time, and we need to send to more. I'd like to find an inexpensive way to this, preferably while still being able to use Outlook and the VolunteerWorks database.
BluePogo.com has a system where you can do just this, but you need to use their program, and as far as I can tell you can't use Outlook or something else.
Anyone got any ideas?
Depending on what you want your email address to be, you could use gmail. It works with outlook and I'm quite sure you can send more than 25 emails at a time.
You could also look in to email hosting from a company that also does web hosting.
Hope this helps,
Michael

So would gmail allow me to use our current domain name to send and receive, or I'd have to use a gmail email address for that? If the latter, it won't work.
Our email and web is currently hosted by the same company, but I'm not sure what you're getting at. Please explain.

Check with your ISP and see if they have a listserve or other mail list management package you could use. Our ISP has the same type of limit, currently we use news letter ease that has a throttle on the number is sends out over during an hour so it is tuned to our restrictions, but when we get bigger in our mailings, I will use the ISP's mail manager software or contract an outside (non spammer) service.

I would go with Dave's advice. It also might just be worth calling (or emailing) your ISP and asking about the limit. They might have some suggestions that work with their servers for you.
