New server, which symantec

Hello... we are installing a new server...we currently have symantec on local pcs.. is there symantec product(in techsoup stock) that can be installed on the server 2003/exchange 2007 ( we already have a sonic wall device running) ..

I believe that Symantec is now only offering the "Desktop" versions of their security software via TechSoup Stock.

There are no server symantec products available through techsoup, however, if you are a 501(c)3, you automatically qualify for Symantec's new Academic licensing program (even if you have nothing to do with a school).

Just because a type of product isn't offered by TechSoup doesn't mean you don't need that coverage on your network. Using a centralized managed virus protection may be the best solution and also having virus protection on your server adds an additional ring of protection, so relying only on desktop products may leave a vulnerability
