ok. I just downloaded iTunes 6 a while back, and when I make a play list, I insurt my CD-R into my disk drive and click burn. It checks the playlist out OK. Then an error pops up saying Could Not Burn Disk. Error 2123.
I need to know what the problem is and if it is my computer or Apple's software.
Help is greatly appreciated.
iTunes 6 relies on a different protocol to earlier versions and is more limited in terms of what it can play and burn (it will not work when copy protection has been removed from files).
Was all your music downloaded from the iTunes music store? (i.e. it's legit?)
Have you run JHymn on your downloads to remove copy protection? (if so they will no longer work with iTunes 6)
If your files are legitimate iTunes downloads and you have not attempted to remove the copy proection, but you are still getting the problem I would first try uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes.

Nope - sorry - It's a generic failure code but I don't know what it specifically refers to.
We are way off topic for a non-profit support forum but I’ll still help you if I can – Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? (don’t know if this will also uninstall your songs but it shouldn’t be a hassle as you have them on CD)

It should not remove your songs if you uninstall the program but to be on the safe side just move your songs to a different folder and make a backup of the library and the playlist. Then reinstall I-Tunes move them all back into the i-Tunes folder and use the import playlist option to get your songs back in the order you had them.
As for the copy right protection. That may be your problem with the disk burn. If you used a older version of I-Tunes to import the cd's and make the songs MP3's then it may be why it will not burn them. Without it being a MP'4 format the burn feature may not make the CD. Older versions did not have the copyright protection guard so just any MP3 could be converted even though apple uses the MP4 codec for it's songs you purchase. Only thing I can really say is try and convert the songs to a MP4 format if the new I-Tunes will do that or use something like Nero to create the music cd's now.

Oh yeah sorry forgot to include this. You should still be able to find the previouse version of I-Tunes online somewhere for download. If you can you may want to revert back to it. If you like the I-Tunes software that much.

Ok, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that gave me no luck. I can't find a site to downgrade or even get and earlier version. If you know a good place can you please provide a link? I will keep searching.
