I had a Cause page but am moving traffic over to my FB page www.facebook.com/pages/edit/ .

Somewhere on my page I want to add links to:

-My facebook Cause page apps.facebook.com/causes/105258/58450779

-My Facebook IGIVE page apps.facebook.com/igivefb/cause.cfm

-my IGive page for my organization www.igive.com/welcome/warmwelcome.cfm

-my organizations website www.getintonature.com .

Question1: Best way to do this? Add a Cause box, a favorite pages box, or a links box? Add all?

Question 2: Because I have a personal facebook page I have had issues adding any of these items to my NP page. It keeps going onto my personal page instead. I guess I haven't found out the secret yet.

Comments?

My ISP sold their dial-up division to another entity that limits outgoing e-mails to 20 recipients. I discovered this when trying to do a press release (33 recipients). I also send out e-alerts to a much larger group.

My website is hosted locally but my e-mail now goes through another company. I have the choice of changing my e-mail back to my local ISP which will involve alerting everyone who is not using my URL.

I could leave everything as is and try CC or VR for my high volume e-mails.

BTW, My e-mail is free as a NP regardless of what I do. Technically my free account is still handles locally but since I am on dial-up it does go through the other company that is operating the dial-up side.

We are looking to switch to DSL but the wbehosting will probably stay local since they only charge us $4/mo.

Suggestions.

Looking at a PPT and audio combination.

I know there are alot of systems out there but I also want one that will allow us to save and make the events available on demand. Not sure if companies host the files on their server or provide them in a format that we would host on ours.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Vista Domain Issues

When a Vista client is added to the domain and applies the default group policies, the diagnostic policy service and dhcp service will not start and responds with an Error 5 Access is denied. However, if the Vista client is placed into a separate OU and policy inheritance is blocked the Vista client functions as it should.

Sending SMS messages to large groups

Hi all,

We are looking for a simple web based system to send mass SMS messages out to our community of volunteers.

We only have a few appointments each month, so our needs are simple.

We currently accomplish this using two private webpages on our existing website, one for downloads and one for the calendar, but my html skills are very basic, and there are features I would like to add that are beyond me.

First, I would like to have everything on the same page, in a two-column format. At the top of the page, there would be a header with our next meeting date and links to related files (agenda, etc.).

In one column would be a small calendar grid for the current month (with arrows for upcoming and previous months). Dates with an event attached would appear in a different color, and details would pop up in a ballon on mouseover, or possibly below upon clicking (it would be nice if users could easily paste/print this information).

In the other column would be links for the uploaded documents, with the most recently uploaded appearing at the top. However, instead of scrolling down on an endless page as we currently are doing (the users do not want me to expire old uploads off the site) there would be a keyword search field above the first page of links that would search all uploaded documents.

Finally, I'd like the whole thing to have a more professional look than I'm able to create.

I've experimented with adapting a WordPress blog to this purpose, with each uploaded file as a post, but have run into some issues - can't upload Excel files; the calendar widget tracks dates of uploads, rather than the events I want it to reflect. Also, this blog is on the WordPress site. I'd rather download the WordPress software (which our webhost does support) and host the private blog on our own domain, but it's unclear the privacy functions are supported in the standalone version. However, the subdirectory into which I would install it is already private, so perhaps that wouldn't be an issue? It seems to take a lot of research to find answers to apparently simple questions about configuring WordPress, which concerns me.

Any thoughts on whether WordPress is an appropriate tool for my goals, or something else would be better? Feel free to suggest another approach that would require less adaptation, if you know of one! Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Sample Agreement Between Site and Vendor?

Hi,
