Any audio should, by default, be set to "off" on most Web sites.  Leave it up to your visitors to decide if they want to hear your audio.  Give them control over sound by including an "on/off" button, and make sure it can be accessed easily.&lt;br /&gt;

Please remember that effective audio seldom includes background music!
