We have two deaf volunteers, we think. We don't ask, and they don't offer. We work with them on a beta software, which I think I am not supposed to mention, that is essentially virtual office application.

Our production is better than where we use telephone with other volunteers. We save records of our mutual training of each other. We store files. We are avialable via computer to give real time feedback and ask questions.

Our organization can pull up previous training and the back and forth of the instant messaging. We can use that for our training manuals, seeing what others need to know.

The role of multimedia in deaf communities

What kind of role does blogging and video logging in general play in deaf communities, and how can nonprofits, philanthropists, and social-change technologists best support this trend?
