Help with Mailshell problem

11-23-2004 10:41 AM

I downloaded an installed a trial versuib if Mailshell Anti Spam the other day. I got it configured properly, and got it to work.

Once.

I logged in the next day and now whenever I try to use Mailshell with my email, I get an "error reading from network. connection closed by foreign host" error message.

I'm using Eudora on a Win2k machine, and our email server runs Linux. Mailshell is configured exactly as it was the one time it worked, and I checked "services" and it should be up and running.

Any ideas?

Try uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling again.

Good morning, Ms. Grierson, and thank you for your interest in Techsoup Stock and in Mailshell's donation program.

I apologize for the delay in responding to your inquiry.

Rog is correct above - the first troubleshooting step for Mailshell Desktop would indeed be to uninstall, reboot, and then reinstall.

If that does not resolve your issue, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service Team at 1-800-659-3579 ext. 700, Mon-Fri 8a-5p Pacific time.

Thank you,
