Is there an online donor service that is as reliable as groundspring but with less service charges? Our organization receives small online donations which ends up almost equal to what are monthly charge is. What a waste :(

There are several others:
Check out this
link to other donation options from Network for Good's website.
Network for Good charges the same rate (3%) and have no setup or monthly fees, BUT they ask your donors to consider donating something to them also. If that's OK with you then they might be a good option.

The pros and cons of Network for Good were discussed on TechSoup last December.
Here's the thread. It also includes a link to a comparison of online donation vendors.

V_S,
It's a good idea to checkout those other online donation software options. You may also want to take a look at http://www.QDonors.com as well.
Good Luck!

I have chosen to go with E-Tapestry for our e-commerce solution. They have a really excellent deal right now, with no setup fees. Furthermore they're very well organized and are making the process easy. I had chosen Democracy in Action at first based on reading this article, but they are so disorganized that I could not figure out how to begin, and they would have been more expensive anyhow.

You may want to check out http://www.suntoria.com - they provide the same type of service as groundspring, but they also integrate with PayPal. So you'll be able to save the 3% of off the PayPal donations. Plus they have no set up fees, so switching is free. Note also that they often give discounts to smaller non-profits.
Of course, if you expect to receive only one or two donation per month, the best bet would probably be to have a donate button that links to Network for Good - they are totally free (except there is a transaction free that they charge, but it's minimal).
Hope this helps!
