Hi, Sasha
Very good question about the 911 connection.
There is no 911 network where KPN is concerned.
The person who sees a child in distress hits 911
same as any kind of public safety issues like fire
and police.
The intent with the 911 part of our program is to
give the everyday citizen immediate access to the
911 system. It also serves a huge role in insuring
the everyday citizen they can access emergency
services if needed.
Speedy information is priceless to the troops in
the field. For example, an Amber Alert is very very
effective. There is an inherit time lag to post an
Amber Alert as the factors necessary to issue an
Amber Alert have to be met.
What the 911 component gives is the everyday
citizen who sees what they believe is a child in
distress or, God forbid, a child is pulled into a car
or van is a rapid-fire resource to get speedy to
law enforcement.
And how many of US have a cellphone?
Thank you for your interest and comments.
Michael
